How to change your SSYAF password using the Authenticator App.

Changing your password using the Authenticator App (Pictures bellow): 

1: You can reset your password yourself on the Microsoft Authenticator app on your work iPhone. Just open the Authenticator app, go to your "Stanford Sierra Youth and Families <username>@ssyaf.org" account, and choose change password.

2: Follow the prompts to reset your password, your password must contain 8 or more characters or the password will not change. 

3:  Once your password has been changed, lock your laptop (Win + L), wait for 2 minutes and unlock it with the new password

4: If it does not take right away or you notice any issues with applications not working properly, power down the laptop (click on the start button, click on the power button icon and select Shut down, wait 2 minutes and turn it back on, connect to the internet and then log in with the new password. 

5: You may also be prompted to sign in again to several applications (Outlook, Teams, etc.) afterwards.

6: After your change your password, please review the following steps to update your Sophos with your new password here: 


NOTE: 

If you are unable to reset your password from the Authenticator App, here is an alternative way to change your password on your laptop using the Company Portal.
