Sending a fax via email with Faxage is easy, just create a new email, and format it as shown below:
1.
In the "To:…"
field, enter 'fax@faxage.com'
2.
In the Subject
field, enter the fax number you are
sending the fax to, including prefix and area code
3.
Attach files
that you want to send in your fax (including a cover sheet if needed). The
order in which you attach the files to the email is the order in which they
will send in the outgoing fax
4.
Once ready to send, click "Send". DO NOT use
"Encrypt & Send" to send faxes (this applies only to faxes
sent this way with Faxage)
Notes:
•
After sending, you will receive a confirmation
email from Faxage that your fax was received by their servers for processing,
then after sending (or attempting to send) you will receive an email
confirmation that the fax was successfully sent (or error message if it was
not, such as line busy. The Faxage server will attempt to redial 3 times if the
fax send fails).
•
No information in the body of the email will be
included in the fax, only attachments.
•
Only emails sent via Faxage without pressing
Encrypt & Send are secure and transported in a HIPAA compliant manner. As a
reminder, do not send any other emails containing PHI to anyone else other than
Faxage without encrypting as normal.
