To log into TIER for the first time:

1. Locate the TIER icon on your desktop and double-click it.
   
   
   
2. This will open a RemoteApp window and prompt to Enter your credentials. Enter your username. if there is a different username in the box already, press Use different account to update it. You password for this screen is you Laptop/SSYAF systems password and not the TIER login.
   
   
   
3. This will open the following Sign-in screen
   
   
   
4. Enter your Username as your first initial followed by your last name (e.g. Joe Smith is jsmith. Note: if you happen to have the same first initial+last name as another employee, IT will inform you of your Username. It will match the username you use to log into your virtual desktop.). The username will always appear in CAPS so you don’t need to worry about case.
   
   
5. For your initial password, please refer to the TIER Orientation training in Relias
   
   
6. Press “Sign-in”
   
   
7. TIER will likely take a moment to load and then the following popup will appear (if it does not, follow the steps below for changing your password). Press OK
   
   
   
8. On the ensuing User Passwords form, you will enter the initial password from step 4. into the Enter Old Password (1) for both the Login password and Signature password sections.
   
   
9. Your new password will go into the four Enter/Retype New Password fields (2). Your password must get the bar below to green. This is accomplished by making sure you have an at least 8 character password with 3 of the following 4 characteristics:
   
   a. Uppercase Letter
   b. Lowercase Letter
   c. Number
   d. Special Character (e.g. !, @, #, $, %, etc.)
   

Note: You will not need to change this password, unlike your virtual desktop password

Changing your password

1. If you were not prompted to change your password on initial sign-sign if or wish to change your password, go to the “TIER 8.5.23 CR11.5” form (Note: this may be a higher number or slightly different label in the future with upgrades). You can get to this screen via hovering over the TIER icon in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen and then clicking on its label:
   
   
   
2. Click the “User” menu tab and select “Passwords”
   
   
   
3. This brings up the User Passwords form detailed above. Note that if you are changing your password the “Enter Old Password (1s) will be whatever your current password is.
   

Forgotten Password

Did you forget your TIER sign-in password? No big deal, just create an ITHelpdesk ticket and we’ll reset it back to the default and you’ll be prompted to reset it on log in.
