How to turn on sync in Google Chrome

As part of your migration, you will want to ensure that your bookmarks and saved passwords in your virtual desktop will sync to Chrome on your new computer. Follow these steps to create a Google account to sync with Google Chrome:

*Note: if you are already syncing your Chrome information, you need not create a new account, just make sure you can sign in/out of your sync account prior to migration.
  1. Open your Google Chrome browser in your virtual desktop and click on the three dots in the upper-right corner to open the Chrome menu.
  2. Select "Settings."

3. Click on "You and Google."

4. Under the "You and Google" section, click on "Turn on sync"

5. Click on "Create a new account" and click Next.

6. Select "For Myself" and fill out the required information to create a new account, including your first and last name, click on use my current email address instead, and type in @ssyaf.org email address, and a strong password. Hit next to continue.

7. Complete the verification process, if necessary, by following the steps provided by Google.

Once you have signed in to your Google account in Chrome, you can choose which data you want to sync by clicking on the "Sync" toggle switch next to each item. By default, all items will be synced, including bookmarks, history, passwords, and extensions.
